PDF Kit

Overview

PDF Kit is an MCP server that brings AI-powered PDF capabilities directly to your assistant. Fill forms, merge documents, extract data, and split PDFs without leaving your workflow. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, Claude and other AI assistants can call these tools directly instead of requiring manual file transfers between applications.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package pdfkit-mcp, which communicates over stdio. Installation is a single command: npx -y pdfkit-mcp. No authentication or external credentials are needed — it works immediately after setup. The latest release is v1.0.2.

PDF Kit is listed in the File System category on mcp.site and works with all major MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain this project, claim this listing to verify your ownership and keep the information current.
