Pact Tooling

Overview

Pact Tooling is a Model Context Protocol server that brings Pact 5 development capabilities directly to your AI assistant. It provides REPL test runs, trap scanning, gas estimation, interface diff, and format checks, letting any MCP-compatible AI evaluate and debug Pact smart contracts as part of the conversation.

The server runs locally via the npm package @pact-community/mcp-pact, communicating over stdio. You'll need to set the PACT_COMMUNITY_WORKSPACE_ROOT environment variable to point to your Pact workspace. The latest release is v0.2.2, distributed under the Apache-2.0 license with source code available at Pact-Community-Organization/pact-mcp on GitHub.
