Overview

oxidize-pdf MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that brings PDF generation, parsing, splitting, merging, and manipulation directly to MCP-compatible AI assistants. Any Claude, Cursor, VS Code, or other MCP client can call its tools directly—the model decides when and how to use them during conversations or agentic workflows.

The server runs locally on your machine via the oxidize-pdf Python package, installed with uvx oxidize-pdf. It communicates with your MCP client over stdio and requires no authentication or external credentials to get started. The current release is v0.17.0, distributed under the MIT license with source code available at bzsanti/oxidize-python on GitHub.
