Overview

Oss Issues Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: MCP server with derived GitHub issue tools: normalized fetch, new-issue watch, claim status. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

It runs locally: the Python package oss-issues-mcp (via uvx) speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need GITHUB_TOKEN. The current release is v0.1.1, published under the MIT license, with source at AmrMohamed17/oss-issues-mcp on GitHub.
