OpenProject

Overview

OpenProject is a Model Context Protocol server that connects AI assistants directly to OpenProject, letting you manage projects, work packages, files, relations, boards, users, and notifications without leaving your workflow. Instead of copying data between apps, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients can call OpenProject as a native set of tools.

The server runs locally via the npm package openproject-codex-plugin, installed with npx -y openproject-codex-plugin. You provide two environment variables: OPENPROJECT_URL and OPENPROJECT_API_TOKEN for API key authentication. Version v0.5.0 is published under the MIT license at alex13slem/openproject-codex-plugin on GitHub.
