Openfec Mcp Server

Overview

Openfec Mcp Server lets you access FEC campaign finance data directly from your AI assistant. Query information about candidates, money trails, and election filings through a Model Context Protocol interface that exposes these tools for AI models to invoke on your behalf.

Run it two ways: connect to the hosted endpoint at https://openfec.caseyjhand.com/mcp without any local setup, or install it locally via npx -y @cyanheads/openfec-mcp-server. The server runs on v0.8.0 under the Apache-2.0 license with source code available at cyanheads/openfec-mcp-server on GitHub. You'll need an API Key to authenticate.

Openfec Mcp Server is listed in the Finance category on mcp.site and works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and other MCP clients. If you maintain this server for cyanheads, claim this listing to verify ownership and keep the information up to date.
