Octobrain

Overview

Octobrain is a Model Context Protocol server that provides persistent memory for AI assistants, featuring semantic search and knowledge graph relationships. It enables AI systems to store, retrieve, and reason over information with structured connections, making memory accessible as native MCP tools rather than requiring manual data transfer between applications.

The server runs locally on your machine through the npm package @muvon/octobrain, which communicates over stdio with no authentication required. Install it with npx -y @muvon/octobrain. Version v0.12.1 is available now under the Apache-2.0 license, with full source code at muvon/octobrain on GitHub.
