Nouz

Overview

Nouz is a Model Context Protocol server that brings semantic knowledge management to Obsidian. It automatically classifies your notes and organizes them into a directed acyclic graph hierarchy, letting any MCP-compatible AI assistant tap into your knowledge base during conversations and agent runs. The model decides when to invoke Nouz's tools to search, retrieve, and reason over your markdown vault.

Nouz runs entirely on your machine using the Python package nouz-mcp, installed via uvx nouz-mcp. It requires no credentials and needs no external services — just stdio connectivity over MCP. The latest release is v3.1.0, distributed under the MIT license with full source code available at Semiotronika/NOUZ-MCP on GitHub.
