Nodedex

Overview

Nodedex is a Model Context Protocol server that maintains a queryable, local history of your project's decisions, dead-ends, and constraints. AI assistants connected via MCP can access this decision history as callable tools, eliminating the need to manually share context between applications.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package nodedex, communicating over stdio. Install it with npx -y nodedex. No authentication or credentials are required—it works immediately out of the box. Nodedex is released as v0.1.15 under the AGPL-3.0 license, with source code available at NodeDex/NodeDex-v0.1 on GitHub.
