Overview

Nist Nvd Mcp Server lets you search and audit NIST NVD CVEs directly from your MCP-compatible AI assistant. Query by keyword, severity, CWE, CISA KEV status, and CPE to identify and evaluate vulnerabilities in your codebase or infrastructure. Any MCP client can call the server's tools automatically during conversation or agent runs.

Install locally via npx -y @cyanheads/nist-nvd-mcp-server. The server requires an API key for authentication and runs over stdio on your machine. Version v0.3.0 is published under the Apache-2.0 license with full source code available at cyanheads/nist-nvd-mcp-server on GitHub.
