NexQL Postgres MCP

Overview

NexQL Postgres MCP is a standalone Postgres MCP server that brings schema-aware database access to your AI workflows. It runs read-only by default and installs anywhere, exposing Postgres queries and introspection as tools your AI assistant can invoke directly.

Install it locally via npx -y nexql-mcp. The server communicates over stdio using the MCP protocol, requires an API Key for authentication, and is available as v0.2.4 under the GPL-3.0 license. The source code lives at NexQL-OSS/mcp on GitHub.
