Overview

Nanobanana Mcp is a lean Model Context Protocol server for Google's Nano Banana image models from the Gemini family. It exposes these models as tools that AI assistants can invoke directly, with a key difference: it returns file paths instead of base64-encoded data, making it efficient for image processing workflows.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package @nanobanana/mcp, communicating over stdio. You'll need to provide your GEMINI_API_KEY through environment variables to authenticate with Google's API.
