Nan Forget

Overview

Nan Forget is a Model Context Protocol server that provides local-first, cross-session and cross-project long-term memory for coding tools. By implementing MCP, it lets AI assistants access and manage persistent memory as callable tools, eliminating the need to manually transfer context between applications.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package nan-forget, communicating with MCP clients over stdio. It requires an API key for authentication. The latest release is v0.6.8, with full source code available at NaNMesh/nan-forget on GitHub.
