Overview

Mermaid Mcp App is a Model Context Protocol server that renders Mermaid diagrams as interactive UI directly in Claude, VS Code, and other MCP clients. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call its tools to generate and visualize diagrams during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package mermaid-mcp-app, which communicates over stdio. No authentication or credentials are needed — install it with npx -y mermaid-mcp-app and it works immediately.
