Meddata

Overview

Meddata is a Model Context Protocol server that provides drug and supplement lookup along with interaction checking using free U.S. government health data. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Meddata's tools directly, letting the model decide when to use them during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally via the Python package meddata-mcp, installed through uvx. It communicates over stdio and requires the MEDDATA_API_KEY environment variable for authentication. Version v0.2.1 is available now under the MIT license, with source code at anthesiallc/meddata-mcp on GitHub.
