mcpindex

Overview

mcpindex is a Model Context Protocol server that indexes and vets MCP servers before installation, providing an advisory screen to help you choose safely. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call mcpindex's tools directly, letting the model decide when to use them in conversation or agent runs.

You can connect to the hosted endpoint at https://mcpindex.ai/api/mcp without any local setup, or install it locally on your machine using npx -y mcp-server-mcpindex. The latest release is v0.4.0. No authentication is required. The source code is available at mcpindex-ai/mcpindex-web on GitHub.
