Overview

Mcp Stl is a Model Context Protocol server that enables AI assistants to edit and manipulate STL 3D model files through structured tool calls. Instead of switching between applications or manually formatting requests, you can work with 3D models directly through your MCP client.

The server runs locally on your machine via the uvx package manager with the command uvx mcp-stl, communicating with your client over stdio. No authentication or external credentials are needed—it works immediately after installation. Version v0.1.0 is available under the MIT license, with full source code at daedalus/mcp-stl on GitHub.
