Mcp Server Vault is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Bitwarden/Vaultwarden for agents: list tagged items, TOTP codes, one-time Sends, save new secrets. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.
It runs locally: the npm package @aiwerk/mcp-server-vault speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need VAULT_REGION, VAULT_CLIENT_ID, VAULT_CLIENT_SECRET (among others). The current release is v0.2.1, published under the MIT license, with source at AIWerk/mcp-server-vault on GitHub.
You'll find Mcp Server Vault in the AI & Agents category here on mcp.site; it connects to Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and any other MCP client — see the install snippets below.
