Mcp Safeguard is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: MCP server security scanner: detects prompt injection, credential leaks, SSRF, tool poisoning. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.
It runs locally: the Python package mcp-safeguard (via uvx) speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. No credentials are required — it works out of the box. The current release is v0.3.2.
