Mcp Metar

Overview

Mcp Metar is a Model Context Protocol server that provides access to METAR and TAF aviation weather data. It exposes these tools directly to AI assistants, allowing models to retrieve and analyze current aviation weather information on your behalf.

The server runs locally on your machine using the mcp-metar Python package, installed via uvx mcp-metar. It communicates over stdio and requires no authentication or external credentials to operate. Version v0.1.0 is available under the MIT license, with full source code at daedalus/mcp-metar on GitHub.

Mcp Metar is listed in the Development category and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and others. If you maintain this server for daedalus, you can claim this listing to verify ownership, display a Verified badge, and ensure the information stays current.
