Overview

MCP Mediawiki is a Model Context Protocol server that provides secure access to MediaWiki wikis. It lets you search wiki content, retrieve pages, browse categories, and perform other wiki operations through Claude and other AI assistants as callable tools instead of switching between applications manually.

The server runs locally as a Python package installed via uvx mcp-mediawiki-crunchtools and communicates over stdio. No authentication credentials are needed—it works immediately after installation. Version v0.1.2 is available under the AGPL-3.0 license with source code at crunchtools/mcp-mediawiki on GitHub.
