Overview

Mcp Homeassistant is a Model Context Protocol server that exposes Home Assistant REST API functionality to AI assistants. Instead of manual integration between apps, Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients can call Home Assistant operations directly as tools.

The server runs locally as a Python package installed via uvx mcp-homeassistant, communicating over stdio on your machine. No authentication is required. Version v0.1.0 is available under the MIT license, with source code at daedalus/mcp-homeassistant on GitHub.
