Overview

Butterbase MCP server lets you manage your entire backend through Claude and other AI assistants. Control schemas, authentication, functions, storage, RAG systems, and deployments directly from your MCP client, turning complex backend operations into natural conversational tasks.

Run Butterbase MCP either as a hosted service at https://api.butterbase.ai/mcp or locally via npx -y @butterbase/mcp. You'll need a BUTTERBASE_API_KEY to authenticate. The server runs on v1.0.0 under the Apache-2.0 license, with open source code available at butterbase-ai/butterbase-oss on GitHub where it has gathered 3357 stars.
