Matomo Analytics

Overview

Matomo Analytics is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Curated read-only Matomo Analytics tools: traffic, pages, referrers, e-commerce, real-time & more. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call Matomo Analytics's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the Docker image ghcr.io/liohtml/matomo-mcp:v0.1.3 speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need MATOMO_URL, MATOMO_TOKEN. The current release is v0.1.3, published under the MIT license, with source at Liohtml/matomo-mcp on GitHub.
