Lurk

Overview

Lurk is a Model Context Protocol server that lets LLMs read Reddit threads with full comment trees while using 94% fewer tokens than typical approaches. Instead of copying and pasting between apps, AI assistants can call Lurk as a native tool to fetch and analyze Reddit content efficiently.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package reddit-lurker, which communicates over MCP's standard stdio protocol. No authentication is required—install it with npx -y reddit-lurker and start using it immediately. The latest release is v1.0.2, distributed under the MIT license with source code available at ProgenyAlpha/reddit-lurker on GitHub.
