Last EHR — Medplum

Overview

Last EHR — Medplum is an MCP server that brings FHIR chart tools into your AI workflow. It defaults to read-only access, but supports elicitation-gated, human-approved writes, meaning any MCP-compatible AI assistant can safely request and execute chart operations with proper oversight.

The server runs locally via the npm package @lastehr/mcp, communicating over stdio. It requires an API key for authentication. The current release is v0.3.1, published under Apache-2.0, with source code available at cbetz/last-ehr on GitHub.
