kbdb

Overview

kbdb is a Model Context Protocol server that functions as a searchable second brain for AI agents. It provides ranked keyword and semantic search capabilities over your Markdown files, letting AI assistants query and retrieve information from your knowledge base as tools during conversations.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package @dikolab/kbdb, communicating with your MCP client over stdio. No authentication or external services are required. Version v1.0.3 is available now under the AGPL-3.0 license, with source code at diko316/knowledge-base-db on GitHub.
