Overview

Joplin MCP Server is a FastMCP server that exposes your Joplin notes, notebooks, tags, and imports to AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients can access and work with your Joplin data as tools.

The server runs locally on your machine using the Python package joplin-mcp, installed via uvx. It communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires the JOPLIN_TOKEN environment variable for authentication.
