Overview

Jira Admin Mcp is a Model Context Protocol server that brings 78 tools for administering Jira Cloud directly into your AI assistant. Manage issues, fields, workflows, permissions, projects, and bulk operations without leaving your conversation—letting Claude, Cursor, or your other MCP client act on Jira as a callable tool.

The server runs locally via uvx jira-admin-mcp and communicates over stdio. You'll need to supply JIRA_BASE_URL, JIRA_EMAIL, and JIRA_API_TOKEN through environment variables to authenticate with your Jira instance. The current release is v0.1.1, available under MIT license with source code at its-qusai-nasr/jira-admin-mcp on GitHub.
