IWE

Overview

IWE is a Model Context Protocol server that transforms your markdown notes into agent memory. It runs directly against the notes directory you start it in, giving AI assistants structured access to your knowledge base as callable tools rather than requiring manual copying between applications.

The server runs locally via the npm package @iwe-org/mcp, which speaks MCP over stdio without needing any credentials or external authentication. Version v0.23.0 is available now under the Apache-2.0 license, with full source code at iwe-org/iwe on GitHub where the project has gathered over 1600 stars.
