Intercom

Overview

Intercom is a Model Context Protocol server that relays messages between two Claude Code sessions running on different machines using the Channels API. Instead of manually copying content between sessions, Claude can call Intercom as a set of tools to communicate and coordinate work across remote instances.

The server runs locally via the npm package claude-intercom, speaking MCP over stdio. Setup requires three environment variables: MY_ROLE, REMOTE_HOST, and INTERCOM_SECRET. Version v2.1.0 is available under the MIT license, with source code at MuhammadTalhaMT/claude-intercom on GitHub.

Intercom is listed in the Development category on mcp.site and works with any MCP client including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed.
