Image to SVG

Overview

Image to SVG is an MCP server that converts raster images in PNG, JPG, and WEBP formats into scalable SVG vector format. By implementing the Model Context Protocol, it lets AI assistants call image conversion as a native tool rather than requiring manual workflows between separate applications.

The server runs locally on your machine through the Python package image2svg-mcp, installed via uvx image2svg-mcp. It communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires no authentication to operate. Version v1.0.1 is available under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code at botmonster/image2svg-mcp on GitHub.

Image to SVG is listed in the Development category on mcp.site and works with any MCP-compatible client including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Zed. If you maintain this server, you can claim this listing to earn a Verified badge and ensure the information stays accurate.
