Huoshui File Search

Overview

Huoshui File Search is an MCP server that brings fast Spotlight file search capabilities to macOS through the Model Context Protocol. It exposes file search as a tool that AI assistants can invoke directly, letting you query your system's files efficiently during conversations.

The server runs locally on your machine via the huoshui-file-search package, installed with uvx huoshui-file-search. It communicates over stdio and requires no credentials to operate. Version v1.0.0 is published under the MIT license, with source code available at huoshuiai42/huoshui-file-search on GitHub.

Huoshui File Search is categorized as a Development tool on mcp.site and works with MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and others. If you maintain this server, claim your listing to earn the Verified badge and ensure the details stay current.
