Hunch

Overview

Hunch is a Model Context Protocol server that enables focus-free control of macOS applications for AI agents. It lets your AI assistant drive real Mac apps in the background without stealing focus, giving models direct access to Hunch's tools to use as needed during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally on your machine via the Python package hunch-sdk, installed through uvx. It communicates with MCP clients over stdio and requires no authentication to get started. Hunch is currently at version v0.6.2, released under the Apache-2.0 license, with source code available at PrithviSeran/hunch-mcp on GitHub.
