Overview

HomeShed is a Model Context Protocol server that brings memory, reasoning, git, Docker and more tools into one self-hosted installation. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can invoke HomeShed's capabilities directly, letting the model decide when and how to use them during conversations or agent runs.

It runs entirely on your local machine through the Python package homeshed-mcp, installed via uvx. The server communicates over stdio and requires no credentials or external authentication — it works immediately after setup. The latest release is v0.1.2.
