Hivemind

Overview

Hivemind is an MCP server that connects your Obsidian vaults to any MCP-compatible AI assistant. It provides AI tools with consistent canonical context, keeping your knowledge base local-first while enabling seamless integration with Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other clients. The server lets AI models call Hivemind's tools directly during conversations and agent runs.

Hivemind runs locally on your machine via the npm package @hiveforge/hivemind-mcp, which communicates over stdio. Installation uses npx -y @hiveforge/hivemind-mcp and requires only the HIVEMIND_VAULT_PATH environment variable. Version v3.6.3 is available under the MIT license, with source code at hiveforge-sh/hivemind on GitHub.
