Overview

HelioSPICE is an MCP server that simplifies spacecraft ephemeris calculations by automating SPICE kernel management for heliophysics research. It exposes these capabilities as tools that AI assistants can invoke directly, making complex orbital and positional data accessible through natural conversation.

The server runs locally via the heliospice Python package installed with uvx. It communicates with your AI assistant over stdio and requires no authentication or external credentials to get started. The current release is v0.5.0, distributed under the MIT license with source code available at huangzesen/heliospice on GitHub.
