Overview

GuruPDF is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Convert, compress & merge PDFs and 100+ file formats from any AI agent. By GuruPDF. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use GuruPDF as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

It runs locally: the npm package gurupdf-mcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need GURUPDF_API_KEY. The current release is v0.1.4, published under the MIT license, with source at GuruPDF/gurupdf-mcp on GitHub.
