Overview

GitHub is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: GitHub via MCP: search, repos, issues, PRs, files, notifications. OAuth device flow or token. Because it speaks the Model Context Protocol, AI assistants can use GitHub as a set of callable tools instead of you copy-pasting between apps.

It runs locally: the npm package @abhishekmcp/github speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. The current release is v0.2.0, published under the MIT license, with source at Abhishekkumar2021/mcp-suite on GitHub.
