Overview

Git Mcp Server is a Model Context Protocol server that connects AI assistants to GitLab and GitHub. Instead of manually copying information between tools, you can let Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients call Git operations directly as part of their workflow.

The server runs locally on your machine through the npm package @raytien/git-mcp-server. Installation is simple with npx -y @raytien/git-mcp-server. You'll need to provide a GIT_TOKEN environment variable for authentication.
