Overview

Ghosthunt is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Find every leaked secret on your machine — API keys in .env files, shell history, and configs. As an MCP server it plugs straight into AI assistants, exposing its functionality as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

It runs locally: the npm package ghosthunt speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need YOUR_API_KEY. The current release is v1.0.0, with source at 78degrees/ghosthunt on GitHub.
