Gemini

Overview

Gemini is a Model Context Protocol server that connects Google Gemini AI to Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients. It enables chat, research, and grounding capabilities as callable tools, eliminating the need to switch between applications.

The server runs locally via the npm package @houtini/gemini-mcp, speaking MCP over stdio on your machine. You'll need to provide your GEMINI_API_KEY through environment variables to authenticate with Google's API.
