FreeCAD MCP

Overview

FreeCAD MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that lets Claude and other AI assistants control FreeCAD directly. It exposes over 30 tools for 3D modeling, PartDesign, CAM toolpaths, and related workflows, giving your AI assistant the ability to create and manipulate parametric designs as part of a conversation or agent run.

The server runs locally as a Docker container using ghcr.io/blwfish/freecad-mcp:latest, communicating over stdio with no authentication required. Version v7.3.0 is available now under the LGPL-2.1 license. The source code lives at blwfish/freecad-mcp on GitHub, where the project has gathered 35 stars.
