Forge MCP

Overview

Forge MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that brings tools for the Forge generative-music authoring loop directly into your AI assistant. It exposes compile, run, and commit functionality as tools that Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients can invoke on your behalf.

The server runs locally on your machine. Install it via uvx forge-recipe-mcp and configure authentication using the FORGE_MCP_BEARER environment variable. Version v0.2.0 is available now under the Apache-2.0 license, with full source code at frmoded/forge-mcp on GitHub.
