Overview

Fireweed is a Model Context Protocol server that provides agent memory where every fact carries a receipt and deletion is provable. It integrates directly into AI assistants as an MCP server, exposing memory operations as tools the model can invoke.

Fireweed runs locally on your machine via the uvx fireweed-mcp command, which installs and runs the Python package fireweed-mcp. It communicates over stdio and requires no authentication to operate. The latest release is v0.5.0, available from Starksood/fireweed-mcp on GitHub.

Fireweed is listed in the Memory category on mcp.site and works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, and other MCP clients. If you maintain Fireweed, claim this listing to verify ownership and keep the details current.
