Overview

FileSystem MCP Server provides secure filesystem access for AI agents with configurable directory and file type restrictions. It integrates directly with your AI assistant as a Model Context Protocol server, exposing filesystem operations as tools the model can invoke on your behalf.

The server runs locally on your machine via the Python package vs-filesystem-mcp-server, installed through uvx. It communicates over stdio and requires no authentication or credentials to operate.
