Overview

Excalidraw is a security-hardened Model Context Protocol server that exposes 14 tools for working with Excalidraw diagrams. It brings collaborative whiteboarding capabilities into your AI workflow by letting Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients call Excalidraw functions directly instead of requiring manual context switching.

The server runs locally via the npm package excalidraw-mcp-server and communicates over stdio. It requires no credentials to get started and comes with built-in auth, rate limiting, and other security hardening. Version v1.0.2 is available under the MIT license, with source code hosted at debu-sinha/excalidraw-mcp-server on GitHub.
