Overview

Everything File Search is a Model Context Protocol server that brings lightning-fast Windows file search to AI agents through voidtools Everything's real-time NTFS index. MCP-compatible AI assistants can call Everything File Search's tools directly, letting the model decide when to use them during conversations or agent runs.

The server runs locally on your machine. Install the Python package everything-mcp via uvx, which communicates over MCP using stdio. No credentials or setup are required. Version 1.0.6 is available under the MIT license with source code at elis132/everything-mcp on GitHub, where it has 19 stars.
