Dwarf Fortress (DFHack)

Overview

Dwarf Fortress (DFHack) is an MCP server that exposes a live Dwarf Fortress fort to an AI agent through curated, semantic tools. With this server running, Claude and other AI assistants can interact with your fort directly as callable tools rather than requiring manual copying between applications.

The server runs locally on your machine via the npm package dfhack-mcp, which communicates over stdio. Installation is straightforward using npx -y dfhack-mcp with no credentials required. Version v1.4.1 is available now under the ISC license, with full source code at alexanderolvera/dfhack-mcp on GitHub.
