Overview

doublespeed — Xcode as an API is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: Build, test and run iOS apps on a remote Mac from any machine. XcodeBuildMCP-compatible tools. In practice that means any MCP-compatible AI assistant can call doublespeed — Xcode as an API's tools directly — the model decides when to use them in a conversation or agent run.

It runs locally: the npm package @doublespeed/mcp speaks MCP over stdio on your machine. Configuration happens through environment variables — you'll need DS_API_KEY. The current release is v0.1.1, with source at doublespeed-main/mcp on GitHub.
